As a Procurement Buyer, you will be in charge of implementing various procurement procedures that help the department provide top-notch customer assistance. This crucial position makes it possible for the department to function as effectively as possible and frees up managers to concentrate on strategic property and procurement.

Essential Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • obtains PR and transforms it into purchase orders.
  • Support the sourcing team and engage in indirect procurement through purchasing.
  • Support inquiries from IBM internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Sends purchase orders to vendors and expedites delivery upon request.
  • oversees claims for products and services and serves as a customer inquiry escalation point.
  • Closes or modifies buy orders and reporting activities.
  • Respond to inquiries from suppliers, procurement managers, business requestors, and accounts payable.
  • Produce high-quality reports in the required format on Open PO, Blanket PO expiration reports, Contract Expiration reports, and other topics.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all transactions that are completed.
  • Capable of handling several things at once; Able to manage priorities, deadlines, and tasks to fulfill deadlines and achieve goals.

Necessary Professional and Technical Experience

  • Any graduate has between zero and one year of relevant experience in freshers, inquiry management, or customer support.

Preferred Level of Professional and Technical Knowledge

  • Problem solving: Recognizes and addresses issues promptly; competently gathers and evaluates data.
  • client service includes handling challenging or delicate client situations, attending to customers’ requirements quickly, answering their requests for help and support, and keeping their word.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills are necessary for verbal communication. Must communicate by phone or email with the Supplier/Client as needed. Asks good questions, listens, and clarifies things.
  • Written Communication: Capable of reading and interpreting written material; writes informatively and with clarity.
